Craig Evans began his career at VIU in 2000 as a Worksite Trainer for the Employment and Life Skills Training Program. He initially started in Nanaimo, and then transferred to the Cowichan campus a year later. The Faculty and students were thrilled to get Craig back to his home campus of Nanaimo in 2012. He is currently one of two work site trainers in the WEST Program. His passion is working and mentoring students where he is able to assess and identify their abilities. He feels so accomplished when students are able to find their niche and secure the perfect position that best suits their skills and abilities. He is very well connected with the community in Nanaimo, and has secured many work training sites for WEST Students. Students and faculty know Craig to be a kind and compassionate individual with a great sense of humour.
